Mars Techno Factory Corp. (Mars Group), located in Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture, has selected the LEDSFOCUS PRO to illuminate their group company logo. The luminaire is a 4-lamp type (4° beam angle) with an optional spread lens installed to extend the light horizontally, providing illumination tailored to the logo's size.
― About the Mars Group ― (Excerpt from Mars Group Holdings Corp. Overview Pamphlet)
Mars Engineering (founded in 1974), the predecessor of Mars Group Holdings, operated as a development-oriented company. It provided products supporting labor-saving operations through original ideas and technology, primarily focusing on amusement-related businesses. In recent years, leveraging the technology and know-how cultivated in amusement-related businesses as group, the company has grown its automatic recognition system-related businesses as a second pillar and is expanding sales in markets such as factory automation, distribution, and health checkups. Additionally, in the hotel-related business, we operate hotels and restaurants, demonstrating the diverse range of fields in which we are active.

Thank you for your cooperation with the interview today.
President Fujiwara
Thank you for coming all the way to Gotemba.
We installed the floodlights near the entrance. Were you able to see them?
―
Yes, I saw it placed on top of the cubicle. Since it was daytime, I couldn't see how it illuminates yet, but I was impressed that the fixture wasn't too large and blended well with the building. I'd like to see how the logo lighting looks at night later.
Getting right to it, let's start by discussing a few topics today. First, could you tell me about your role within the Mars Group?
President Fujiwara
Mars Techno Factory specializes in metal press forming and assembly, primarily for amusement facility equipment. Leveraging our long-cultivated strengths in press forming and spot welding technologies, we manufacture stable-quality parts and units to ensure satisfaction for all our customers.
President Fujiwara
Yes, the new factory completed in June 2024, so it hasn't even been two years since its completion. While Mars Techno Factory itself was established in 2016, the predecessor company whose operations we acquired had been operating since 1954. It was a very old building, lacking even air conditioning. It was truly a workplace reminiscent of the Showa era, where employees worked drenched in sweat during midsummer and in freezing conditions during winter. Witnessing these conditions, the desire to improve the working environment for our employees led to the realization of the new factory.
―
So that was the background behind the new factory construction. I could sense your deep appreciation for the site that supported you for so many years and your consideration for your employees, conveying the values your company holds dear. Was it part of the original construction plan to incorporate our floodlights into the group company logo lighting?
President Fujiwara
Actually, installing the company logo lighting was not part of the original plan When the new factory was first completed, we were naturally filled with joy, and our employees were delighted with the new environment. However, once operations began, we noticed the factory's exterior was completely dark after sunset, giving it a somewhat desolate feel. Especially during the time when employees finished work and headed home, the area around the building became dark. As president, I felt a bit concerned, thinking, "This is such a great new factory, but is it really okay to leave it like this?"
So, I thought, "Couldn't we make the new factory stand out more?" and "Couldn't we create lighting that would make employees feel safer on their way home?" I decided to consult with JUPA Co., Ltd. (a distributor handling Stanley Electric products), which always helps us out. JUPA then introduced us to Stanley Electric, and they proposed the company name logo lighting.
President Fujiwara
The presence of light definitely changes your mood, doesn't it? It feels as if the building has come to life. It was striking how it showed a different expression compared to daytime. I especially liked the style of lighting from below. Our company manufactures frames for Mars products using metalworking techniques, positioning us as a "supporting presence from below." We play the role of the unsung heroes, supporting Mars products. That's precisely why the light shining from below seemed to align with our own position and stance.
Each employee carries that sentiment in their heart, sincerely engaging with their daily work—this image, combined with the lighting shining up from below, was deeply moving.
―
While company logo lighting can be achieved through various methods like external or internal illumination, we're delighted you perceived Stanley Electric's unique "illumination from afar" in that way.
President Fujiwara
It has a certain charm. You can't help but gaze at it thoughtfully. I also love how often fog rolls in here in Gotemba, creating a fantastical atmosphere. Sometimes you can even see the light rays themselves, which is a wonderful effect.
―
Our company has experience illuminating diverse subjects, from historical buildings to natural scenic spots, so we're confident in our lighting effects. We offer a wide variety of beam angles, from narrow (1.5°) to medium (50°), enabling optimal illumination tailored to the requirements of long-distance projection. We believe we provided various proposals leading up to the installation. How did you find them?
President Fujiwara
One reason we decided to go with Stanley Electric was the ability to test beforehand using sample products and simulations calculating illuminance levels. We greatly appreciated being able to adjust and receive proposals on-site to see the actual lighting effect, which allowed us to visualize the lighting concretely. You conducted simulations and field tests twice, meticulously confirming that sufficient brightness was achieved and that the illumination was uniform without unevenness, providing solid support right through to the end. We appreciate your efforts in the harsh cold.
―
Thank you. We place great importance on a field-first approach and emphasize "testing" at every site. Conditions vary significantly from site to site—lighting positions, angles, object characteristics—so many aspects cannot be fully captured by calculations or simulations alone.
I understand that this time, our sales representative also visited the site to confirm the positioning of the building and fixtures, making fine adjustments like slightly tilting the fixtures during installation. By conducting final checks under the actual lighting conditions during the intended illumination hours, we ensure our support delivers results that meet your satisfaction.
For our clients, the reassurance of being able to "see and verify with their own eyes" before completion is significant. For us, too, we find great fulfillment in the process of creating together on-site.
President Fujiwara
Thanks to your thorough support from our company's perspective, we were able to approach the lighting-up day with confidence. Thank you for your careful attention.
―
Finally, could you share what you value most in your daily work and your future outlook?
President Fujiwara
Mars Techno Factory currently derives approximately 80% of its sales from intra-group deliveries. Going forward, we aim to increase sales outside the group. To achieve this, we must identify added value within our existing business despite intense competition and pursue cost-effective manufacturing through capital investment.
Additionally, after reviewing Stanley Electric's line-light case study, we believe it could be utilized for safety visualization in our own facilities. As we plan to introduce new robots in the future, floor-mounted line tapes can peel off easily when moving heavy objects, suggesting a growing need for light-based safety visualization.
―
Thank you. We, too, aim to expand beyond building illumination and focus our efforts on supporting safety and security within factories through light.
We would be delighted to collaborate with your company in various ways through light, driven by these shared initiatives.
Thank you for your valuable insights today.
