TOKYO, April 1, 2026 - Stanley Electric Co., Ltd. (TOKYO: 6923) (“Stanley Electric”) and Mitsubishi Electric Mobility Corporation (“Mitsubishi Electric Mobility”) announce today that their joint venture company, Stanley Mobility Electric Co., Ltd. (“Stanley Mobility Electric”) , has officially commenced operations.
In the automotive industry, the role of lamp systems has been evolving from lighting equipment to advanced electronic control devices due to the advancement of ADAS, autonomous driving, and SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) technologies.
To respond to these changes in market conditions, Stanley Electric and Mitsubishi Electric Mobility reached a basic agreement in November 2024 to establish a joint venture for next-generation lamp system business, and subsequently signed an integration agreement in April 2025.
The new joint venture will maximize the synergy between Stanley Electric’s optical control system technologies—contributing to safety and security through automotive lamps—and Mitsubishi Electric Mobility’s advanced control system technologies. Stanley Mobility Electric will mainly engage in the development, design, manufacturing, and sales of electronic and control components that make up next-generation automotive lamp systems.
Going forward, Stanley Mobility Electric will create new value by integrating the technologies of both companies and contribute to enhancing the safety and functionality of next-generation vehicles.
