BUSINESS

BUSINESS

Our group’s main business is the manufacturing and sale of automotive equipment, electronic components, and applied electronic products. A distinguishing feature of this business is that each of the three business segments interacts with the research and development faculty.
The three business segments cover diversified needs, which are satisfied by the value that the research and development faculty produces. This value is delivered to the business segments, and at the same time, the business segments link together to offer social value in the form of new technologies and products. Supporting each other, the business segments make resilient business rollout possible and ensure sustainable growth despite the social environment going through turbulent times in recent years. MANUFACTURING

MANUFACTURING

SNAP Training

Toward the goal of achieving a “manufacturing structure that manufactures only the number of products customers need when customers demand them”, our entire group practices “SNAP,” which is generic name for the company’s own production innovation activities. By thoroughly cutting down on wastefulness, we shorten lead times, reduce costs, improve quality, and meet delivery deadlines, thereby enhancing customer trust and satisfaction. Indirect departments are also thorough in their pursuit of work efficiency, and they also promote production engineering improvements through the inhouse production of equipment and research into new materials.

HISTORY

HISTORY

Our group traces its history to 1920, with the foundation of its predecessor company Kitano Shokai. At that time, it was rare for a company to handle automobile light bulbs, and the business fields expanded to include optoelectronics and automotive equipment products. The 100 years of the company's history is a history of continuously pursuing various special qualities of light, resulting in the creation of many valuable products.

  • Founder’s Thoughts

“I want to be the No. 1 in Japan as soon as possible. The epoch of electricity is coming soon.”

Founder Takaharu Kitano decided to open his own store with special light bulbs, mainly automobile light bulbs. He said, “When you set your mind on something, it should be big and high. It should not be small and low. If it is small and low, you will be content with small achievements. If it is big and high, you will naturally be committed to realize a great achievement. In all things, the desire for the top leads to the middle, and the desire for the middle leads to the bottom. Therefore, always keep in mind that you should be the best in the world.” This mindset and spirit is the secret of success.

    Founder: Takaharu Kittano
  • Origin of the Company Name

SUSTAINABILITY

Basic Environmental Philosophy

Stanley Group will strive to "create new values in harmony with the environment" through all our corporate activities by reducing the environmental impact to a bare minimum, so that we can pass on the immeasurably rich blessings of our earth and its ecosystem to the next generation in a healthy state.

Efforts to achieve carbon neutrality

Our Group set the target for FY2021 of “Reducing CO₂ emissions from our business activities by 50% up to FY2030 compared to FY2019 and achieving carbon neutrality up to FY2050.”

We are focusing on reducing CO₂ emissions at our production sites, which account for more than 90% of the Group’s CO₂ emissions. One measure in particular that we are focusing on is to improve manufacturing for reducing manufacturing that uses heat. With this, we are aiming to achieve our targets by further accelerating reductions from FY2027 onwards. To reach our goal of achieving carbon neutrality by FY2050, we will dedicate 50% of our R&D efforts to development towards carbon neutrality, and will further advance the practical application of new technologies from 2030 onward.
